This recent post is about a home burning to the ground down in South Fulton, Tennessee. In that area, there is a 75$ yearly fee charged for 911 service. So when Gene Cranick forgets to pay his fee, and calls 911, they do not respond. The house burns, he gets out of the house, but his grandkid's 3 puppies and everything he owned, remained in the house. Neighbors called 911 in fear that their houses would catch fire. 911 came to make sure their houses were ok, but left Mr. Cranick's house to burn. Now, I can understand where the firefighters are coming from. Rules are rules, and they can't break them. And while I still think they could've done something, I don't blame them completely. I blame the guy who came up with the rule. Sure, putting out fires costs money, but is that the way to get the funds. Have fundraisers, or something, but leaving a house to burn is wrong. The fire department is part of the government, is it not? Shouldn't they be using government funds for this? But back to the firefighters, sure they were following rules, but when a neighbor offers to pay 300$, and they say "It's too late". Why? Do you enjoy puppies burning to death???????? That is completely Inhumane (my reason for the title). How could they sit by and watch that? I mean, if I were in their position, with the risk of losing my job, I'd help the poor guy out. When the boss get's mad later, I'd tell him what a stupid idea it is to have the resources to put out the fire, and sit there watching it burn? This is unbelievable. Now, maybe there's more reason to letting puppies burn then I know. If so, please comment, I want to here YOUR opinion. Because That's my opinion. Take it or leave it.
Thanks for reading.

Arizona, time to meet your maker
Hey People
So, after just getting back from camp, hearing about all the news going on ( Oil spill plugged up, Lohan goes to jail, etc.) But the one that really got me, was that Thursday is the first day that Arizona will enforce it's new law against illegal aliens. Now, I thought it already started, with the boycotts and all that. But I guess, it's about to get a whole worse thursday. In my opinion, I think this suing thing is ridiculous. I mean, Arizona struggles with having Illegal Aliens in the state all the time. The Federal Government does not help them out very much. All this law is saying, is that it is Illegal to be in Arizona, Illegally. I mean, how much clearer can you get. The Federal Government doesn't like illegal aliens, so why don't they like this bill. It's not even that police will walk up to people on the street, and ask them if they're illegal. This would only happen, if you have trouble with the police. Let's say you get a ticket. You've just done a bad thing, of course they're gonna wanna know if you should be there. If your a law-abiding citizen, you have nothing to worry about. What if someone, let's say you, get's mugged. Wouldn't you like to know if the person was here legally? And if they weren't legal, wouldn't you want them out of the country? I mean, what people are against this bill? what's your reasoning. I'm pretty sure most of the people of Arizona want this bill, if your outside of Arizona, is this even your problem?

Rhode Island Vs. Massachusetts with Immigration Laws and recent 96.9 talk
Hey People,
Been a while since my last post, but heard something on the radio, which usually gets me talking. 96.9 Boston Talks.
So, apparently, the laws in Rhode island are, find someone illegal, Deportation. For Example, A state trooper in Rhode Island on I-95 pulled over a man, and asked for his license. The man had no license, and explained that he was here illegally. The man was arrested, and later deported. If that had happened, further up north in MA, the man would've been arrested for driving without a license. Then later released. Why? Why do we have different rules. I mean, Kudos to Rhode Island for doing the right thing deporting the immigrant, but why don't we? Does anyone have an answer to that?
Some info on the oil spil, I also learned that there is a federal law that basically states Foreign Vessels cannot come help us during times of need, unless approved by the President.( Obama). People concerned about the spil, including the Governor of Louisiana, asked the President to aprove of the many Foreign vessels willing to come help. But, President Obama denied the request, I believe it had something to do with being afraid the Union of workers might come at him for letting foreigners take their jobs. Come On! Really? Your letting that out weigh stopping this disaster!
My final little note, the last thing I heard a little about was the President of N.A.S.A, when asked what his job was in an interview, answered that the president told him to " Make better relations with Muslims around the world". What? The president of our space program, is supposed to be working on relations with a religion? This makes no sense to me! Does anyone have anything to add?

Oil Spil
So, I'm a little confused, the lastest attempt by BP to stop the oil leak was a fail right. If it actually worked, disregard everything I'm about to say. But this is how I understand it, and comment if I'm wrong. I think after this happened, Obama told BP " Go clean that up" like my mom would tell me to clean my room. BP says " Ok, we'll get right on that". So now they're still trying to clean it up. But, who do I blame? Personally, I blame Obama. This isn't one of those life lessons. We're not trying to teach BP to clean up after itself. This is happening in our country, it's our governments problem, immediately. Let's say a forrest fire happens, by accident, in one of our national parks, do we go to the person who caused it, and say" Go put that fire out". NO! We give them support from our firefighters. This really isn't different. Now, yes, we should still be pissed at BP for messing up our ecosystem, and not being able to clean it. Yes, it does make people mad that the people who caused this, aren't seeing it first hand, because they're in England. This is just like " Taxation without Representation". They're in England, trying to fix something happening "across the pond". It may be different if an American company caused this, but it's not. Obama, you need to get on this if you want to be reelected. Look at all those promises you made in your election. While most politicians make lies like that, I kinda thought you were a different guy. I thought you would change everything. But, here we are, there you are in the White House, and in case you guys didn't hear this, in stead of working hard to fix the oil spill, he had an interview with some crazy guy. I don't remember who. Just some guy whose caused a lot of trouble, rape or something. Instead of working on national problems, he talks to a crazy guy? I think he's going about this all wrong. His first priority, is fixing this spill. He should be down in Louisiana 24 seven, run the White House from down there. Experience the spill first hand. I don't think he realizes how severe this is. People are dying down there, fishermen out of jobs, tourists leaving because of the bad beaches. By the way, he's been urging americans to vacation on the Gulf Coast. What about Arizona! I'm pretty sure they need help as well! Now, I'm not going to get into Arizona in this post. I already talked about that, but still, they need help with these boycotts other Americans are doing. They need it more then the Gulf Coast. I guess I should relabel this post to OBAMA. But I'll leave it.
That's my opinion! Take it or leave it!

Is that really fair?
Hey People
I have a question, and I'd love to hear some feedback. Let's say, a boy is in class and accidentally starts reading an outside reading book, when he's not supposed to. So, the teacher takes the book. Fair? Yes. But when the teacher takes the book, hands it to another student, and asks him to return it to the library. Is that fair? Also, what if it happens to be the week when all library books are supposed to be returned for the summer, so you can't check books out. So, basically the teacher has taken the book, and doesn't intend to give it back to you, ever. Is that fair, I'd love to hear some opinions on this

My first opinion about Arizona
Hey People,
My name is Connor ( I decided it's not harmful to write only my first name), and I'm here to talk to today about what's happening down in Arizona. The way I understand it is, Arizona wants to pass a law that allows police to ask you if you are here illegally, if you are in a crime. Now, I didn't read the bill, so I'm not sure exactly, but I think that was the idea. Why is this? Well, did you know that Phoenix, AR, has a very high crime rate right now. I think what they said was it was placed 2nd, below Mexico City.( By the way, a lot of information I use, comes from listening to 96.9, Boston Talks radio.) So, In my opinion, Arizona has the right to make this law. The problem, apparently the Mexican President doesn't like it. Well, Mr. President, you can criticize our laws, when you get people to STAY in your country. Ok, you can't come here, and tell us how to deal with your people. That should be your job. So, Arizona has the Mexican president on them, and also, is getting complaints, from other Americans. An example, Brookline was thinking today about having a boycott against Arizona. And Boston may follow. Guys, if I were the governor of Arizona right now, I would be pretty unhappy about this. When one state has a problem, like with illegal aliens, aren't we (the other states) supposed to back them up and help them? Please, if you have any comments, post them below.
This is Connor Melvin saying "That's My Opinion, Take it or leave it"
